Biography

Kim Moore
Kim Moore started her career as a stylist in Wilmington, NC in 1989. After returning to her home town, she opened Headdress Day Spa and Salon in 1999, the first Day Spa in the region.

In 2005, Kim earned the coveted title "Aveda Cutting/ Styling Purefessional". In her role as a National Educator, Kim has taught cutting and styling workshops across the United States. She has presented with Gerard Scarpaci during Purefessional Training at Aveda Headquarters in Minneapolis and has worked backstage at hair shows in DC, Miami, New York, Brooklyn, and Chapel Hill. Kim also worked 5 years backstage at New York's Fashion Week. In 2010, she was the Aveda Lead Stylist for the Monique Pean Presentation.

After 11 years of Salon Ownership, Kim closed the salon doors to pursue her next dream, to write a hair cutting system founded in math and science. After nearly 2 years of research, her system was awarded a Patent Pending and she launched her first HEAD SHAPE MATTERS Tour.

In 2013 Kim founded Kim Moore Hair Education, LLC and became a Guest Artist for Aveda. She also released her DVD, HEAD SHAPE MATTERS “The Formula”. In 2014 Kim was selected to teach her system at the largest hair show in the US, Premiere Orlando. The Head Shape Matters cutting system is now being taught to students at Greenville Technical College, replacing the standard cutting curriculum.
